Celebrate Earth Day Every Day

Today is Earth Day. This annual event, which takes place each year on April 22, serves as a reminder that we all need to do our part to protect our environment and climate and encourages us to adopt simple habits like recycling and choosing renewable product packaging.

It’s also the perfect time to teach little ones environmentally-friendly lessons so that they will grow up to be good stewards of our planet.

A great way to celebrate Earth Day with little ones is to read Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. With its powerful message about the importance of taking care of our planet, it’s the perfect book for Earth Day.

You can use the story to start a conversation about ways to protect the environment and care for the Earth. Think about ways kids can help the family recycle or what items they can reuse to make crafts (hint: Tetra Pak containers can be upcycled into some fun stuff!). Ask older kids to turn off lights and electronics when not in use.

We love this idea of throwing a Milk-and-Bookies Party, and here are some fun activities and crafts to continue the theme.

You can feel good about serving Sneakz milkshakes on Earth Day and every day. They come in Tetra Pak cartons which are made of renewable materials, recyclable paperboard and no refrigeration are needed when distributed and stored which saves energy and reduces waste. The aseptic packaging also allows our organic milk to retain its color, texture, natural taste, and nutritional value for an extended period of time.
