How often do we rush out the door in the morning without feeding ourselves or eat what’s left on our children’s plates after lunch and call it our own?
As moms, these are common pitfalls we all run into despite a desire to feed our families right. Supply and demand for a mother’s time and attention often comes at the expense of us getting in quality nutrition, consistently each day.
That’s why even more than before I entered into motherhood, I appreciate the compact convenience of smoothies. Whether it be in the cup holder alongside my coffee in the morning or a shake I make to slurp down while working over nap time, enjoying all the foods I would otherwise like to take the time to sit down and eat via straw has become one of my best saving graces.
Here is a nutrient-packed combo I often default to for a meal-substitute or hearty snack.
All-in-One Mom Smoothie
*makes one large wine-glass full (approximately 12 ounces)
What You Need:
- 1 carton Vanilla or Strawberry Sneakz Organic Milkshake
- ½ frozen ripe banana
- 6 large frozen strawberries
- ½ cup frozen riced cauliflower
- ¼ avocado
- 1 Tablespoon almond butter
- 2 teaspoons ground flax
How You Make It:
- Empty contents of Sneakz milkshake into high-powered blender. Add remaining ingredients. Blend on high until smooth.
- Transfer to glass and enjoy!
If you think you might have little ones asking to share your smoothie, double this for the a mom and two mini smoothie sizes! For extra fun at home, offer this to your kids in plastic wine glasses. It makes a fancy drink you all can enjoy - without the kids drinking all of yours!
